Recommend: Hair curler

warning: the entry includes advertisement.

There's no secret we girls (and many guys) love styling our hair and doing something special with it on special occasions. But hairdo's takes time! Either it's an unusual ponytail, braid, straightening or curling. Especially curling your hair can be difficult for many since there are so many different ways and it's not like we're born with the right technique in our wrist. And there are so many curlers to chose between! I have always had difficulties curling my hair; lack of technique, my hair is thick and straight, and the curls fall out within 1-2 hours. Anyone with the same problems? I know there are.

But then I found the perfect curler, - and not only for my hair! Many of my girlfriends have tried it out and all with different hair types and they have the same experience; it's amazing! Anyone heard of "The sisterhood of the traveling pants"? Haha - it's like those pants, suits everyone. It's called HerStyler and can be bought online at http://herstyler.com/ as well as flat irons, hairdryers and more. I have only tried the curler because I don't use flat irons or hairdryers.. The curlers also come in different shapes. I have this one:

This comes in four different colors, green, black, purple and pink and can make everything from small, corkscrew-like curls to big wavy curls. It depends on the technique you're using! Here's some facts about this specific curler (copied from they're homepage):
AdvertisingTourmaline barrel creates smooth, glossy curls with ceramic technology which produce negative ions to seal cuticles and repel humidity (no frizz!). [...] Our Grand Baby curler is suitable for all hair types; from fragile and fine to wavy and thick. [...] Achieve the desired temperature in less than 60 seconds (half the time of conventional models). This in turn saves electricity and prolongs the lifespan of the product.

...And I can 100% agree with all of their statements. In my experience, this curler heats up in like 30 seconds, the iron is very light and easy to use and I've never noticed any damage on my hair(I don't use heat protection for my hair, thought this is recommended if you use curlers ect often). Curling only my ends, takes about 5 minutes; perfect when you're late!
The curler is a bit expensive, but I believe it's worth the price.. and if you're short on money I've got good news! This is what I did: I fell in love with this iron after trying it out, and decided to check out where I could buy it... So here's my secret.. shhh.... *check out ebay...*.. haha! Got it for about.. $50.. hehe! Less than half the prize, new and works just perfect. Note: You might have to buy an adapter if  you don't live in the US. Can't promise it's still available for that prize, but cheaper, that's for sure.

Checking ebay first is always a wise thing to do, they got everything!

And I can upload some tutorials with some different curling techniques later. In the meantime, youtube your chose of curls + wand hair curler. Or just hair curler if you have one which ain't a wand. Wand hair curler is a curler without a clip, which looks like the one above:)
There's MANY good tutorials on youtube !
